Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every account on US-Number. It defines what the service may and may not be used for. US-Number is designed for manual, two-way business SMS communication only. Violations may result in suspension or termination, and may be reported to carriers or authorities where appropriate.
Allowed
- Customer communication: responding to client inquiries and support requests manually from the web dashboard.
- Business messaging: conversations with partners, vendors, and contacts where prior consent exists.
- Operational notices: appointment reminders, order updates, and service-related messages sent manually to your own customers.
- Two-way conversations: SMS exchanges that the recipient has reasonably consented to receive.
Prohibited
- Bulk or automated messaging: sending messages at scale, using scripts, APIs, or any form of automation. The service is manual only.
- Spam: unsolicited messages sent to recipients who have not consented to receive them.
- Third-party account relay: attempting to use the service to receive sign-in codes or identity-related messages from third-party platforms. Such use is not guaranteed and may violate those platforms' terms.
- Harassment: repeated unwanted messages, threats, or abusive communication directed at any individual.
- Phishing: messages designed to deceive recipients into revealing credentials or personal information.
- Fraud and scams: any fraudulent, deceptive, or scam-related messaging.
- Impersonation: false claims of identity, business affiliation, or government authority.
- Telecom abuse: attempts to circumvent, disrupt, or exploit carrier or platform systems.
- Illegal activity: any messaging that violates applicable law in the sender's or recipient's jurisdiction.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including warning, suspending, or terminating accounts, and cooperating with carriers, regulators, or law enforcement where required.
